Kanamycin is a full spectrum medication useful in treatment of gram positive and gram negative bacteria and is safe for scaleless fish. It is effective against Aeromonas, Pseudomonas, and Myxobacteria, and such conditions as Fin and Tail Rot and Mouth Fungus. It is helpful against Hemorrhagic Septicemia when mixed with food as follows:

Put 1 teaspoon of water in an empty cup. Add one dose of medication in the water and dissolve. Add 1 rounded tablespoon of dry fish food pellets. Stir until all liquid is absorbed. Spread pellets on flat plastic and allow to dry.
DOSAGE: First, dose with AquaLife Complete Water Conditioner. Use a 1/4 teaspoon Kanamycin per 20 gallons of water.· Treat every 24 hours with a 25% water change before each treatment. Use 1/2 dose on tetras, neons, ghosts, whales, and sensitive fish. Treat for 5 to 7 days. This medication may interfere with biological filtration. Antibiotics and treatments are always safest when used in a hospital tank. Monitor ammonia and nitrite and use AquaLife Complete Water Conditioner. Change water as needed. Not for fish used for human consumption.

Warnings: Kanamycin can cause moderate eye irritation. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothing. Wash hands with soap and water after contact. Keep away from heat and bright light. It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.
