Diet: Nutrition from symbiotic zooxanthellae algae in mantel/ photosynthesis. Some nutrition through filter feeding/ phytoplankton.
Coral Tank Compatibility: Safe with corals. Will compete for space and nutrients with corals. Soft corals can irritate clams with terpenoids, and large polyp stony corals can sting clam mantles with sweeper tentacles. Distance accordingly.
Aquarium Size: 200 gallons or greater. Must have room for shell to open, and reposition.
