The OceanGuard Aquarium

Specially developed Optiwhite™ glass and black silicone provide the ultimate in water-tightness. The crystal clear glass does not distort colors, is easy to clean, and increased scratch resistance. Pilkington Optiwhite™ is a low-iron super clear glass with no greenish tint, which is extremely important especially in larger aquariums with thick glass. Ultra-even surface is guaranteed by the highest quality manufacturing process and ensures no distortion providing perfect conditions to observe your corals.

The Overflow Box and Plumbing

The black overflow box blends in with the rear glass guarantee high aesthetics. A removable weir comb is easy to clean, and due to the noise-canceling cover, the water flow is almost inaudible. All plumbing elements have been designed for the needs of marine aquariums; you can assemble them quickly and above all – without glue! The use of large diameter solid bulkheads prevent even the smallest micro leakages, which often deforms the base panels and eventually cracking the aquarium bottom. A precise gate valve will allow you to easily set the water level and help cancel out the noise created by traveling water. In case of a power outage, a check valve prevents water from flowing into the sump preventing higher than normal water levels.

The Reef Sump

For a sleek design and performance, the solid PVC sump is mounted on a vibration-reducing foam. PVC was used for the highest durability and water-tightness. The modern design of the sump also includes water level markings for making adjustments easily on in-sump equipment. The cascading chambers have filtration socks that can be replaced anytime with Aquaforest media reactors or the Klir Fleece Filter by CoralVue. In the event of a circulation pump failure or a temporary power failure, the sump’s check valve prevents water from flowing into the sump. The pipe’s diameter accommodates various advanced equipment and systems including efficient filtration.

The Cabinet

The ultra-durable OceanGuard cabinets come pre-assembled and constructed of waterproof high pressured plywood that will not absorb water preventing any unsightly swelling or deformation of the stand. The tall cabinet provides adequate space for access to the sump and other filtration. Hinges are made of the highest quality Japanese stainless steel (resistant to salt and chemicals).

Easily redesign the look of the stand by swapping out the cabinet’s external panels without the need to disassemble or move the aquarium. The exchangeable waterproof external cabinet panels are available in 6 stylish colors, sold separately. The external panels are laser-finished and provide a 20 year long UV resistance with no fading guaranteed! Leveling the tank is a breeze with adjustable legs to perfectly level the cabinet.
