Hydra Aquatics’ “Brilliant” 45 Degree 25 Gal. Back Filter aquarium is the highest quality aquarium available on the market today. Produced with the finest low iron, museum quality glass, this stunning rimless aquarium offers the clearest view of your aquatic life. Manufactured to our exact specifications, this tank features 45 degree mitered edges that offer exceptional strength, as well as an almost seamless appearance. Precision edges and a mat to protect the base are just finishing touches to compliment the two year warranty.
This 25 gallon aquarium is the largest cube aquarium offered by Hydra. It gives the user the depth and height of a large aquarium without the added length. Enjoy the beauty of a large aquarium in even the smallest living space or office. With a regular tank, a filter and heater can both be seen and distract from the beauty of the aquarium. Not in this case! The back filter hides all of that within the footprint of the tank, all you can see from the front is a black background. The 3 1/8″ filter extends the entire back of the tank and is divided into 3 sections that direct the water flow. The first chamber maintains a water level of 12.5″, which is perfect for most submersible heaters rated for a 25 gallon aquarium. The water enters the first chamber at the top, travels down to the bottom where it is again channeled up to the top of the second chamber. The second chamber is designed to house the filter media such as carbon, sponges, or floss, and it maintains a level of 9.5″. The water enters the top of this chamber and flows downward. A sponge or pad cut to 6.5″ x 3.25″ would fit snugly and allow no water bypass. The third and final chamber is designed to fit most popular models of aquarium pumps between 250-350 GPH. The level in this chamber will fluctuate due to evaporation. With the filter components all contained in the back of the tank you can truly have your aquascape contained in a 18″ x 18″ footprint!
